Charles Hon
Managing Director, Guangzhou Office (Assistant Director Operations, Hong Kong & China)
Mr. Hon has over thirty years of public law enforcement and private sector experience in investigations, risk mitigation, protective services and security consulting. He served with the Hong Kong Police from 1974 to 2002 in various investigative management and supervisory positions. In 1981 Mr. Hon was one of the youngest detectives promoted to the rank of Detective Sergeant.
Mr. Hon served twenty-four years with the Criminal Investigation Department during his twenty-eight year career with the Hong Kong Police Department. Mr Hon’s experience includes service with the Criminal Intelligence Bureau, Organized Crime and Triad Bureau and other specialized investigative units.
During Mr. Hon’s tenure with the Hong Kong Police he received seven commendations from the Department’s Command Staff, i.e., the Hong Kong Island Regional Commander (Assistant Commissioner of Police), several by District Commanders (Chief Superintendents), Assistant District Commanders (Superintendents), CIP Crime (Chief Inspector) and his unit commanding officer(Senior Inspector) for exemplary work and work beyond the call of duty.
After his retirement from the Hong Kong Police, Mr. Hon worked exclusively in China for six years as a security and risk management consultant, prior to joining i-fact@nalysis. In his role as a senior consultant Mr. Hon managed numerous due diligence, fraud, intellectual property and anti-counterfeiting investigations, planned and implemented executive protection assignments for high profile individuals and conducted risk assessments for Fortune 500 Companies in China.
Mr. Hon attended numerous advanced Detective, Detective Sergeant and other specialized training courses during his tenure with the Hong Kong Police. Mr. Hon is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
